Golden Iris

Inspired by a golden iris discovered in the celebrated gardens of Beth Chatto, this richly layered oil painting began as a vision of wallpaper — a repeat of blooms so lush and immersive they could clothe an entire room. Instead, they found their home on canvas, rendered in teal, gold, and warm earth tones with expressive, swirling brushwork.
